The Comrades Club in Wallingford, Oxfordshire was started after the Great War as a Gentlemen's Club. It is situated in the heart of Wallingford and has oak panelled walls, an over priced bar, four very expensive snooker tables and is run by a team of 9 amateurs who couldn't run a bun fight in a bakery.
There used to be a decent dress code but these days they will let anyone in straight from plastering as long as they have a collar!
Women are NOT allowed to be members, however, they can use the club at all times if signed in by a member.
Entertainment is almost non existent apart from an annual supper at which the members are forced to eat bangers and mash and drink wine not fit for cooking with at exorbitant prices.
The bar prices are now the same price or mayble a farthing cheaper than the local pubs and members actually pay £60 for the privilage of being ripped off. The Steward has absolutely no personality and the temporary staff would not even find employment in a morgue.
They have an active Golf Society, run by such idiots that are so far up their own annus's that it beggars belief.
